Description
This cuff is that perfect bracelet to throw on when you're not sure what to wear but need a little something on the wrist. I call it 'the asymmetric' cuff because one side is very thin and it gets thicker as it goes to the other side. This particular pattern of tortoise shell comes from a vintage stash of cellulose acetate and I call it...Funky tort...it's funky, it's hard to describe. It is a dark tortoise, but then there are streaks of almost a metallic gold and lavender. It's very unique (like all the old, vintage patterns of acetate) and again, very easy to just throw on and wear. These old patterns have lots of depth and richness to them, and truly standout compared to the knock off tortoise we see more and more of these days. When you receive this bracelet you will be shocked by how lightweight it is, but don't take this for fragility! The material we use: cellulose acetate (made in Italy), is a vegan plastic that was made for the optical industry-a plastic that is lightweight but still durable-what people look for when wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses. Well, we love using acetate for jewelry because you can wear large, bold statement pieces that are also super comfortable. So wear this bracelet confidently-it will not break or chip!
